And the Most Disliked Player in the NFL Is…
People may love the NFL, but they sure don't love everyone who plays in it.
According to a new survey, the most disliked player in the league is none other than Colin Kaepernick. It should hardly come as a surprise, given the firestorm of controversy he's incited the last month over his decision not to stand for the national anthem as a protest over race relations in the U.S.
A total of 29% of the 1,100 respondents said they disliked Kaepernick a lot. They say there's no one more popular than the backup quarterback, but considering Kaepernick is now second-string, that cliche may no longer apply.
Who else do fans have a tough time cheering on? Here's a look at the other most loathed players, along with the percentage who said they dislike them.
- Colin Kaepernick - 29%
- Jameis Winston - 22%
- Ndamukong Suh - 21%
