Before Karl-Anthony Towns could even dream of becoming the next great NBA star, he was just a kid eyeing a (TV?) career.

The Minnesota Timberwolves seven-foot rookie, who was the the top pick in this year's NBA draft, once interviewed Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant.

Towns, 19, was just a wee lad of a freshman at a New Jersey high school when he did the piece for a New York cable channel. See him in action below. Towns is only a few weeks into his pro career, which looks like it's got a promising future.

If that ever falls through, maybe he can fall back on life in front of the camera as a member of the media. We'd be willing to bet a two-handed dunk that's not going to happen anytime soon, though.
