NFL commissioner Roger Goodell continues to stand by his claim no one from the league saw the video of Ray Rice hitting his then-fiancee, Janay Palmer (now his wife, Janay Rice).

Goodell broke his silence on the matter in an interview Tuesday night with CBS News.

The commissioner said he believed video of the highly-publicized incident existed and the NFL even asked to see it but he was not "granted that opportunity."

As for Rice's future on the football field, that remains a murky subject, since he is indefinitely suspended. Will he suit up again? "I don't rule that out, but he would have to make sure that we are fully confident that he is addressing this issue," Goodell said.
