The matchup everyone's wanted for a whole year is here.

The Cavaliers and the Warriors coasted through the postseason for an NBA Finals rendezvous. It'll be the rubber match, with Golden State winning two years ago and Cleveland returning the favor last season.

Cleveland has lost one game in this year's playoffs, while the Warriors have gone through their three series without suffering a defeat. It certainly appears these two have been on a collision course.

After Golden State blew a 3-1 lead in the finals last season and a chance to etch its name in the record books as perhaps the greatest team ever, the franchise boosted its odds by luring superstar Kevin Durant from Oklahoma City. Cleveland, a team and a city playing in the very unfamiliar role of defending champs, stumbled at points and could only muster a second seed in the playoffs. Have no doubt, though -- they steamrolled the competition in the postseason and announced their presence with authority, in the process.

LeBron versus Steph. Love versus Durant. Irving versus Green. Game 1, Thursday, June 1. Bring it on.
