Michael Phelps Strips at Arizona State Game — For Good Reason
Michael Phelps, owner of more Olympic medals than anyone in history, is getting into college hoops.
Phelps, who’s training at Arizona State for the upcoming Summer Games, went to the Sun Devils’ game against Oregon State and Thursday and stripped down to his skivvies part of the student section famed Curtain of Distraction, which attempts to cause opposing players to miss free throws.

The one and only Michael Phelps in the Curtain of Distraction. Both free throws were missed. pic.twitter.com/p0twwY6YH4

Maybe it was the glare of the medals or maybe it was a chiseled Olympian with a six-pack, but the stunt worked to perfection as OSU’s Stephen Thompson Jr. missed both shots.
The Sun Devils may have been fired up by Phelps’ presence — they manhandled the Beavers, 86-68.
The Curtain of Distraction has certainly upped the ante — we’d be willing to be this student section that pulled a classic childbirth stunt will find a way to respond.
