Broncos RB C.J. Anderson Has ‘Mad’ Love for Tom Brady [POLL]
Tom Brady didn’t make it to Super Bowl 50, but you can bet he had an impact on at least one player who did.
Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson shared an Instagram post in which he thanked the New England Patriots quarterback for offering words of encouragement after the Broncos staved off the Pats in the AFC Championship Game last weekend.
It was a nice conversation between players who defied the odds to make it in the NFL — Brady, the sixth round draft pick who led his team to four Super Bowl titles, and Anderson, an undrafted back out of California who has become a key cog on his team’s continuing run to the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
I know a lot of people hate this man but man when he was pick 199 and was over look he inspired me I was undrafted and over came all the odds so bless what he told me at the end of this game. He said "CJ way to fight and prove everybody wrong you belong in this league and your one hell of a player I love the way you run keep climbing to be great" those words meant so much growing up watching Tom overcame I'm proud to say I'm 3-2 vs his teams and proud to say I get to battle him every year. Thanks Tom for telling me those words they will stick and I know a lot of people don't like you but I have MAD RESPECT. Thanks I see you overcome as others in this league and now it's my turn.
It sounds like it was a nice encounter, one which will make Brady supporters simply say, “See? He is a nice guy.” Those who harbor disdain toward Brady, though, are bound to think it’s a meaningless gesture and he’s still nothing more than a smug cheater.
