BYU’s Nick Emery Tossed From Game for Walloping Opponent in Face
Nick Emery is a freshman on BYU’s basketball team who may very well be looking at a suspension.
During the closing minutes of the Cougars’ blowout loss to in-state rival Utah, Emery received a flagrant two foul and was ejected from the game after a vicious punch to the face of the Utes’ Brandon Taylor.
Emery appeared to have hit Taylor for no clear reason.
After the game, Taylor said Emery said something “foul,” which he would not repeat.
It remains to be seen if Emery will receive a suspension, but it would come as no surprise, since BYU is known for its honor code.
